Something about spring creates a desire to see men and women on roller skates bashing into one another at high speeds on an indoor track. Like at the season opener of the Pioneer Valley Roller Derby league, where teams from western Mass and Vermont battle in a 10,000-seat arena. Ah, April.

You’ll have fresh fruit, purees, juices and pickled veggies to add to cava or bacon-infused vodka, depending on which way you go. So, yeah, you’ve got options.
Your NCAA bracket predictions have been called “sage-like” (well, mostly). And with the final on Monday, you can watch your picks finish out just as you called it with rounds of 25-cent wings at Olde Magoun’s Saloon. Be sure to napkin up before kissing anyone while celebrating.
