For decades, seafood towers ruled the restaurant scene with vertically stacked crustaceans and all the corresponding accoutrements.
But oysters and shrimp shouldn't have all the fun.
Sadelle's knows this. The restaurant, which opened in NYC in 2015 and has since expanded to other markets like Dallas, Miami and Vegas, has been stacking bagels as part of its famous bagel tower for years.
Turns out, you can score one of those bagel towers for yourself, even if you don't live around the corner, because Sadelle's is now shipping them nationwide via Goldbelly.
It's a tight collection of items. If you want to keep it simple, order a dozen bagels and cream cheese, and wait on the couch until you're sustenance arrives. But the smart play is to go with a bagel brunch tower, available for six or 12 people.
In that case, you'll get your pick of hand-rolled, soft and chewy bagels — choose from plain, poppy, sesame or everything. The pack will include plain and chive cream cheeses, smoked salmon, tuna and whitefish salads, cucumbers, tomatoes and capers. You'll have the option to add a tub of egg salad, so do that. And you can also add a wooden tower.
The latter is like a paper towel holder, but it holds bagels. Which are an inherently superior product.
Until you spill cream cheese on your shirt.
