Grilled Cheese and Rum in Fort Point

Fridays. Ideal night for loft soirees. And on the third floor of a Fort Point design office tomorrow, your next one will involve a lot of Privateer Rum, suds from Holyoke brewer High & Mighty and snacks courtesy of Roxy’s Grilled Cheese food truck. No, it won’t be parked inside.

Saturday
Rock of Ages + More Hendrix = This
CLASSIC

Rock of Ages + More Hendrix = This

Good news: Boston’s Ultrasonic Rock Orchestra, which is a Rock of Ages–esque stage show that replaces all the Journey and Poison with classic ’70s British rock like Bowie and Queen, is performing this Saturday in Arlington. Special addition: a lot of Jimi Hendrix. He did blow up in the UK, after all.

RIDE ON

Indoor Snowboarding near Fenway

Staying indoors and hitting the slopes: hard. Unless you’re doing both at the SnowRiders rail jam on Saturday, featuring top US and Canadian powder-masters, live music and free lift passes to Mount Snow for the first 700 through the door. If going with a date, try not to be number 700.

Sunday
Endless Killer Calzones in Cambridge
LOADING ’ZONE

Endless Killer Calzones in Cambridge

Calzones. You’ve had your share. Which makes you an ideal judge for the calzone throwdown at Dante on Sunday. You’ll sample entries from the likes of Stella, Coppa and Sweet Cheeks before picking the one to rule them all. Let’s boogie.

Wednesday
A Very Hawthorne-y Birthday
YEAR ONE

A Very Hawthorne-y Birthday

The Hawthorne is turning one. Say happy birthday on Wednesday via three hours of bubbly, whiskey smashes, cocktail macarons and Formaggio Kitchen cheeses. Oh, and gin libations via the first single-barrel Bols Genever spirit in 400 years to be hand-selected by an outsider (bar-god Jackson Cannon). Good luck, Thanksgiving.
