Trina's Starlite Lounge Opens

The Abbey Lounge reopens as Trina's Starlite Lounge in Inman Square tomorrow, replacing the teeny live-rock venue of yesteryear with Southern comfort-food (fried chicken and waffles), a funky retro diner theme and seating that can be best described as "plywood-y."

Opens Friday, Sept 25, 3 Beacon St, 617-576-0006, food and drink menu here

Fluffernutter Fest in Somerville

There are few things more sacred in this world than the union of peanut butter and marshmallow cream. Come pay your respects on Saturday at the "What the Fluff?" festival in Somerville (the proud birthplace of Fluffernutters), where there'll be live music, food booths and Fluff-inspired drinks—though personally we plan to keep our distance from the Fluffuccino.

Cash booths, 4-7pm, Sept 26, Union Square Plaza, more info here

A GOOD YEAR

Sel De La Terre Turns One

They grow up so fast. Chefs from Dante, Sage, Garden at the Cellar and Toro will help Sel De La Terre celebrate its first birthday by way of a seven-course blowout, and your drinks will be blended by mixologists from Eastern Standard and Craigie on Main. Think of it as a local Woodstock for food fans.

Fried Chicken Sundays at Clio

Something's in the air regarding fried chicken, because Ken Oringer has decided Clio will now open on Sundays just to serve you the tasty poultry. Pre-fixe dishes will come with cornbread, greens and fruit cups, but it's the fact that the style of the chicken (Southern, Korean, etc.) will change each Sunday that has us ready with the wet-naps.

$35, 5:30pm-close, Sundays, Clio, 370 Commonwealth Ave, 617-536-7200
