In light of some recent events, countless Americans have been furiously searching for ways to leave the country, with lots of interest in close-to-home destinations like Canada and Mexico, as well as expat-friendly hubs like Portugal and Bali.

Leaving is one thing. Making a living in your new home is another.

But one very helpful person just made it a bit easier by compiling 20,000 remote jobs in one place

So, if you're not already working remotely, now you can skip town and still pay your bills.

The listing comes from Reddit user marvythemantis and appeared on the r/digitalnomad thread. They added all the jobs into an Excel spreadsheet (click on the "20k remote jobs" tab at the bottom of the doc), so you can scroll through the list. Or, even better, search for keywords to find jobs that meet your experience and interests.

There are plenty of traditional roles, including marketing, sales and consulting jobs at major employers, all of which can be performed remotely. You'll also find freelance writing, graphic design and web development roles, as well as engineering and software jobs. There's a little something for everyone, and most listings include the stated salary or an estimate of compensation.

Whether you want to live the nomadic life bouncing around countries, or settle down somewhere overseas, it's now easier than ever to work remotely. All you need is an internet connection and a laptop.

So you might as well post up near a beach somewhere and enjoy yourself, perhaps even getting a little work done between local meals and midday beers.
