Craftsman and Wolves, the original: Coffee. Pastry mashups. Fancy-pants desserts. A muffin
with a runny egg inside.
Craftsman and Wolves, the sequel: Coffee. Pastry mashups. Fancy-pants desserts. A muffin with a runny egg inside. Nitro cold-brew coffee. A deconstructed-motorcycle art piece.
Let’s hear it for progress, people.
Yes, CAW Pacific is opening Saturday in Russian Hill, which means you may now: 1) become excited, and 2) look at pictures of some of the edible things that will be in there.
You’ll find all of your favorites from the Valencia Street original—matcha-green-tea-infused cookies. Thai-green-curry scones. And, of course, the Rebel Within, that sausage-studded muffin with a runny egg inside.
But there are some changes worth noting. Worth noting pretty hard. Like that nitro cold brew. It’s called Howling Wolf, it’s from Oakland, and it’s on tap. That, and the place looks pretty different.
All sleek and modern and intensely cozy. You can probably imagine coming here for coffee and a really good lingering conversation with last night’s date while pondering the artfully dismantled 1950 Triumph Thunderbird that just sort of ended up being in there.
As dismantled 1950 Triumph Thunderbirds often do.
