Bring yourself back online.
No, you don't need to start questioning the nature of your reality. Or in which timeline Evan Rachel Wood is currently leading a violent rebellion.
Because you're in the only timeline that matters.
The one where robots are making you burgers.
Welcome to the future... and to Creator, a now-soft-open burger joint where all the hamburgers are made-to-order, start-to-finish, by a robot. Here's what that looks like.
First, a quick word of great import: you have to acquire tickets to eat here and they're currently waitlisted for a spell. It's okay though. It's all going to be okay. Because before you know it, you'll be walking into the bright white shop and be immediately struck by the glass-cased wonder behind the counter.
And with good reason, because eight years and consultation by everyone from NASA engineers to Bar Tartine and Duna's Nick Balla went into this engineering marvel.
Moment of awe superseded by grumbling stomach, you'll turn to the human (ugh) behind the counter to discuss menu options, which currently are limited to presets like the Dad Burger with charred onion jam and sunflower seed tahini, but will be fully customizable once they're officially open.
Then, you'll watch as the Creator vertically combines chuck and brisket for your patty, slices the bun, tomato and cheese, all to-order to ensure maximum freshness. It'll then be paired with the default mini-farro or seasonal veggie salad that you can switch out for fries. Which you will.
Hail your new burger overlords.
