Head to Main Street Garden on Saturday, and you’ll find tacos from 15 of the city’s best taquerias. Plus bands. Lots of bands. Beer and tequila, naturally, and also: some wrestling courtesy of masked luchadores. Try to stay out of their way.
There’s a new party in town, and it’s taking over the base of Reunion Tower. So much is happening. For
starters:
—Many food trucks (BellaTrino, Coolhaus).
—Lawn games like bocce and cornhole.
—Plenty of beer and wine.
—Live music.
Otherwise, it’s just a regular backyard get-together.
Luau. Just saying it conjures images of a hog roast and rum. It’s a good word. And this Sunday, it’s a word that applies to the Standard Pour, as they’ll have a band, a whole hog and plenty to drink. Finally, an appropriate time to break out your Hawaiian shirt.
Here’s one of those outdoor movie screenings people like so much. It’s on Knife’s handsome patio. There you’ll eat food from John Tesar and drink beers from Four Corners. And you’ll watch Big Night, that 1996 restaurant classic with Tony Shalhoub and Stanley Tucci. Ah, so there’s a theme.
