Take a look out your window right now.
You see:
A) The beach
B) Anything else
If you answered A, well played. You’ve got this life thing handled.
But on the off chance you didn’t...
Get thee to BalQony, a beachside beauty of a space with fire pits and cabanas hovering four stories over the crashing waves below, officially opening Thursday at the Hilton Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort. (See the slideshow.)
There’s much sun, beach and fire-pit-adjacent drink sipping to behold:
Like on the balcony.
Yes, it’s actually a balcony. A massive, sun-drenched one overlooking the ocean with daybeds, fire pits and a bar.
Speaking of the bar...
They’ve got one. With a Fig Fashioned using dried figs, bourbon and bitters for sunset watch parties. But also frozen drinks for daytime whatevers in the sun.
You know what goes with frozen drinks...
Tiny umbrellas. Yes. But Cuban-sandwich-stuffed empanadas and duck taquitos, too.
There are two huge rotundas.
One on each side of the space. You can do the sunning thing here, but you can also rent them out for a private party. Actually, you can just do that with the entire 4,500-square-foot space.
Go big or go rotunda.
