It's true.
As of Friday, there will be two SLS hotels on Brickell.
The new kid on the block: SLS Lux Brickell, a 450-residence, 70-suite funhouse that opens Friday for your leisuring pleasure. Check it out.
You'll know you've arrived when you spot the bronze Botero sculpture out front. And the 40,000-square-foot mural by the same Argentine artist as the neighboring SLS Brickell. And the sign that says "SLS Lux."
Get on in there. The lobby is a beaut and was designed by Yabu Pushelberg. But alas, the mirror-and-marble paradise with metal and modern touches is just the beginning. It's the pool overlooking all of Brickell that you're here for.
Located on the garden level and surrounded by lush greens, the pool stretches on for what seems like eternity. Grab a lounge chair or, better yet, a cabana and proceed to leisure with great abandon. Speaking of, since no tropical urban paradise is complete without a bar, you'll naturally find one of those poolside as well.
There's also a tennis court and a rock climbing wall if you're feeling those, and later this month, S Bar and Katsuya will open for cocktails and sushi, respectively.
They've got a few beds somewhere in there, too.
