Fajita Man. The name conjures images of some cape-wielding superhero fighting for your right to enjoy fajitas. It’s a noble undertaking. And it’s who you’ll call whenever your day would benefit from a chef grilling fajitas and pouring frozen margaritas in your home or office. So most days.
So much is happening at the new Landmark Bar & Kitchen in Fort Worth. For example: meatball sliders, funnel cake and lots of cold beer. Also: a spectacular patio. In addition: skee-ball, cornhole and vintage arcade games. And... that’s enough for now. Don’t want to overwhelm anyone.
Oak Cliff Social Club. Good place for a beer. And tonight, it’s a good place for a couple Lucia chefs to hold court over 50 pounds of Red Wattle pig, served up porchetta-style with some pickles and salsa verde. We know, pickles was the clincher.
Brunch can make or break your weekend. So a fruit cup and toast just won’t do. Now, a stack of blueberry pancakes, a plate of chilaquiles with eggs and IPA-braised pork, and a paloma on tap at So & So’s new brunch... yeah, that’ll do.
On Sunday, sleep in a bit. Watch a movie. Eat a hearty brunch (see above). Basically, conserve energy so you can survive this poolside party at Sisu. Expect DJs, dancing, cocktail drinking, two-piece garmentry and probably a difficult Monday.
