It’s been a long week.
Say, why don’t you take the rest of the afternoon off.
Grab a baked good or something.
And that’s... the last time we’ll ever suggest grabbing a baked good in your spare time.
Because, you see, the city’s first licensed dessert truck just added a brick-and-mortar spot to its résumé. It’s called Yum Yum Dessert Co., and it’s open as of this morning in Buckhead.
You know the Yum Yum Cupcake Truck. The bright-pink one with all the cupcakes in it. Well, start by imagining two of those parked side by side. That’s basically the size of this place. But turns out, you don’t need any more than 500 square feet to hold an espresso machine, a handful of backless swivel stools and a million desserts.
Swing by now if you want. Grab a Nutella- or Samoa-flavored macaron. Grab a Southern Belle sundae with chopped red velvet cream cheese cupcakes in it. Doesn’t matter. Just start grabbing. (Politely asking works, too.)
And here’s a little trick: the doors open at 9:30am, but if you call in advance and place a special order, you can pick it up as early as 8am.
There’s always a dessert loophole.
