At Las Brasas, the reincarnation of a once walk-up, grab-and-go Peruvian joint that’s now a full-service juggernaut of spicy meats and South American libations, slated to open Friday in Decatur. (Come, witness its splendor in the slideshow.)
It’s not like you’re going to start calling it Little Cusco or anything, but this place is pretty spot-on in terms of paying respects to consumable Peruvian things.
A few months ago, when it was just a little cinder-block shack, you could stop by during lunch to grab a whole rotisserie chicken and... that’s pretty much it. (They didn’t even serve barbecued beef heart like they do now.)
Soon, though, you’ll walk into Las Brasas. You’ll sit at the wooden bar among bright-yellow walls. You’ll drink something like a Pisco Mule.
But if you miss the old days, there’s a drive-up window where anything can be ordered and picked up within 10 minutes.
