The more things change...
The more they stay... in the same location.
Yep, we’re talking about 15 Steps, a revamp of the former 1500º space that you’ll employ for matters of pork, cocktails and good times, now open in the Eden Roc.
Inside, well, to be honest—not much has changed. It’s still got those oversize lamps, the communal table by the kitchen and those white leather seats. But what you will find is a new chef, a new menu and some brand-spanking-new cocktails. Also, a garden filled with things like kale, heirloom tomatoes and different herbs that’ll soon be filling your plate.
So this fits right into that nice-but-not-overly-romantic niche. The kind of place you’ll use for a first date or a dinner party with friends. For the former, grab the black banquette off to the side, order the Florida-raised Wagyu and a bottle of cab. For the latter, go with some charcuterie boards topped with fried pig ears and pork cheek and a round of habanero margaritas. Tequila and pork. Sounds about right.
Oh, and on Sundays: brunch. With different stations. Stuff like a Florida-oyster-shucking bar and live juicing.
No, not the A-Rod kind.
