On Friday, we told you about S Bar opening inside the new SLS Lux Brickell.
And now, after tugging at your cocktail-loving heartstrings, we have yet another opening sure to send you straight to the the hotel. This one speaks directly to your stomach and its love for master sushi chef Katsuya Uechi.
Behold: Brickell has a Katsuya now.
Gone are the days of driving exclusively to South Beach for sushi and robata dishes. You can now find them in Miami proper looking a lot like this.
Bring a date you want to impress. Walking in, you'll probably notice the sake-box wall. While visions of Jenga dance through your head, we implore you to look, not touch.
Instead, head to the dark marble bar for the Samurai cocktail's bourbon, muddled mint and honey syrup. Then, wield that drink like a true warrior over to your table and let the chef ply you with magical things.
Sure, you'll find classics like short rib gyoza with braised onions. But the chicken oyako kamameshi—a traditional Japanese hot pot with an arroz con pollo twist via edamame, fried sweet plantains and chili-lime butter—is new.
Okay, we'll stop talking about the SLS Lux now.
