Pizza.
You pretty much know what you’re signing up for when you order a slice of it.
And it’s usually not bocce and picnic tables in the warmest part of the city.
Usually.
But now there’s Rustic, an aptly monikered pizza joint blessed with Neapolitan pies cooked in a 600-degree oven and, soon, an outdoor playground with bocce, palm trees and... more pizza, now open on 24th Street.
Walk in the front door. Look at all those windows. Look at all those slice options on the chalkboard menu. Then, make your way through the long hallway and look out onto the patio.
It’s... not open yet. But it will be soon. So feel free to stick around until then. Have someone make you an artichoke-bianca or pesto-mushroom pie. Or choose your own toppings like prosciutto, burrata and spicy capicola. They even have BBQ ribs. Pizza. BBQ. Sure.
But yes, come back. That patio will be open soon. The heat lamps will be on. The bocce courts will be in full swing. And the eight beers on tap (Mirror Pond, Trumer Pils...) will be waiting for you under a palm tree.
Yes, even if it’s foggy.
