Big weekend ahead. Yup, lots to eat and drink. So get started early with tonight’s Savor Dallas opening party at Trinity Groves. There you’ll find plenty of beer and wine, plus menu previews from in-the-works restaurants like Chino, LUCK and Souk. Hey, anything to support local business.
You’ve probably played a little pinball in your time. Well, these guys have played more. It’s the Texas Pinball Festival, and it’s at the Anatole for three days. Stop in for 45,000 square feet of vintage pinball machines and video games. Why yes, that is a roll of quarters in your pocket.
Big holiday coming up. Green beer. Leprechauns. Competitive bagpiping. You know the one. Anyway, you’ll probably want to fortify yourself with a traditional Irish breakfast at the Cedar’s Social before engaging in the above. Think eggs, whiskey, Irish soda bread... more whiskey.
Chances are, Saturday’s going to be a long day. So after all the carousing down Greenville, skip (figuratively) across town to end things at Goodfriend. They’ll have special beer tappings to commemorate the occasion, plus a live performance by Boys Named Sue. Incidentally, that’s a band.
