Your Steak Demands a Little Fresh Air

Even now, you sense it.

Days: longer.

Temperatures: climbing.

Your stars-and-stripes Speedo: nearly back from the tailor.

Yep, it’s time to think about one thing: how you want your steak. Medium rare and on a retractable-roof terrace, naturally...

Take a look at the Terrace at Edge Steak & Bar, an alfresco getaway of strip steak, Negronis and cheesecake lollipops, now open in the Four Seasons.

You’re familiar with Edge—a sanctum of steak and brunch on Brickell. What was once just an indoor mecca for properly charbroiled beef is now two venues: the formal dining room and the terrace, a new setting for carnivorous dalliances in the great wide open (it’s important to let your bone-in breathe a bit).

Today, we’re focusing on that terrace. It looks like Matthew McConaughey’s living room (we assume): there are tables, sure, but they’re peppered with canvas couches and fire pits—all under a retractable awning. (Sadly, no bongos.)

Imagine it: you’re in first-date territory. It’s going well. She flawlessly sabered the champagne and you’ve shared your mutual love for New York strip served rare. You’ll gaze out on Biscayne Bay, toast with your tequila and coconut-foam Ginger Brickell and watch as your companion polishes off her cheesecake lollipop.

And to answer the age-old question: it takes two licks and a bite.
