MEDAL TO THE PEDAL

Free Booze for Biking

In honor of Earth Day—which they've decided to extend through May (we didn't know you could do that, but whatever)—the Cape Cod Room is buying your first round of drinks if you show up by bike or by foot. No limit to the number of people either. Go for The Hyannisport: cran-orange vodka, cranberry and fresh lime.

Today through May 31, Cape Cod Room, 5937 Collins Ave, 305-864-1262

Cocktails and Massages at the Palms
PALM THURSDAY

Cocktails and Massages at the Palms

Tonight at the Palms, in addition to being at the edge of the ocean, you'll have the chance to sip eco-friendly cocktails (the vodka used in them is as organic as it is alcoholic) and nosh on chicken lettuce wraps. Then you'll move out to the veranda for a mini-massage. As always, the mini-massages are biodegradable.

Apr 22, 6-9pm, no cost, Essensia at The Palms, 3025 Collins Ave, 305-534-0505

Local Pork at Da Campo Osteria
WILD HOGS

Local Pork at Da Campo Osteria

For three days only, Todd English's Italian resto will be cooking with ingredients from Florida. And while the Swank Farms squash stuffed with mint and ricotta sounds great, we're more intrigued by the char-roasted chop and sausage dish made with humanely raised hogs from central Florida. Either way: go Sunshine State.

Friday
Surfer Girls on the Big Screen
HANG 10

Surfer Girls on the Big Screen

Attention fans of girls in bikinis and the cinematic masterpiece that is Blue Crush: ladies who surf (longboard, shortboard, bodysurfing) are the subject of the first of two documentaries to be screened outdoors at the Miami Beach Botanical Garden tomorrow. Throw in $4 glasses of wine and barbecued salmon burgers, and surf's up.

Apr 23, 7-11pm, $8-$10, MBBG, 2000 Convention Ctr Dr, 305-673-7256, tickets here

Nespresso Boutique Opens on Lincoln

The caffeinated titan Nespresso recently unveiled its first Florida outpost in the new Herzog and de Meuron building on Lincoln Road. Part café, part showroom, it's the sort of place you'll go to fuel up on espresso whipped up in futuristic pod machines (which you can buy). And apropos of Earth Day, all the drinks are served only in ceramic cups—no takeout or paper cups allowed.
