1 New Perk
Those resolutions aren't going to keep themselves…but a free gym membership is a pretty good start. This week's perk brings you a free week at Crunch Gym, on the off chance you resolved to do more squat thrusts in 2010.
The weekend is breaking records.

Usually, you'd catch Afro-Cuban funk band Suénalo at some boozy club in Wynwood, so this gratis performance, located amid koi fish ponds and stores like Cartier and Gucci, should provide a refreshing backdrop. We recommend a pre-concert mojito (and a post-concert Cuba Libre) at nearby Carpaccio.
Tonight there are two reasons to celebrate at the Vagabond. First, the return of the hipster-tastic "Shake" party—and second, local celeb DJ Tom Laroc's 40th birthday. Expect a smattering of DJs, one-dollar Colt 45 tallboys from 10 to 11pm and live Nintendo, because nothing goes better with malt liquor than Mario.
Good news: the Design District eatery Fratelli Lyon just introduced a wallet-friendly bar menu with small plates priced from $1-$5, including prosciutto-wrapped melon, grilled asparagus wrapped in speck, chicken-liver crostini and Sicilian-style eggplant. Plus, cocktails are $6, so you're looking at a happy-hour feast for about $15 per person.
This new weekly poolside party commandeers the Standard's outdoor mud deck and stocks it with foosball tables, ping-pong tables and multiple grills firing up burgers, sausages and tofu dogs for $6 apiece. There's also a full cash bar, so think of it as a sprawling backyard BBQ with better scenery.
We know it seems like a long way off, but next Wednesday, you're going to need a drink. The swanky bar at the Biltmore is helping you leave your midweek worries behind with half-price cocktails for four hours, wine from $5-$9 and complimentary rum tastings from 7-9pm. We could all use more free rum in our lives. Well, most of us.
