Smell Like Tequila, but In a Good Way

More often than not, smelling like tequila is a bad thing.

Because while it probably means you drank tequila (good), it also means you spilled tequila (bad).

And it's hard to go through life smelling like booze.

But now that Maison Solís has introduced the world's first agave-inspired fragrance line, with three distinct scents paying homage to blanco, reposado and añejo tequila expressions, your fortunes have changed.

Maison Solís was founded by wine and spirits industry veteran Joseph D. Solís. He collaborated with fragrance consultant Ethan Turner, a sommelier turned perfumer, to craft each scent. Together they deconstructed some of the world’s best tequilas to create unique combinations inspired by the tasting notes found in each expression. This trio of fragrances is the result of those efforts.

Blanco by Maison Solís

Blanco captures the freshness of agave's earliest stage. It's bright and crisp, nodding to Mexico's agave fields with notes of fresh agave rooted in red clay soil, ripe citrus, coconut and cedar.

Reposado by Maison Solís

Reposado embodies the nuanced complexity of barrel-rested tequila, blending warm spices and oak undertones to evoke a sense of refinement and maturity. There's a marriage of sweet roasted agave and whiskey-aged wood.

Añejo by Maison Solís

Añejo pays homage to aged tequila, with deep notes of caramel, vanilla and wood. It's bold and complex, with further notes of charred rum barrels, caramelized agave, spices, aged leather and fireside smoke.

The fragrances are available in 30 mL individual bottles or as a "discovery set" featuring 5 mL bottles of each scent. The packaging is evocative of actual tequila bottles, so just remember: this stuff goes on your body, not in your mouth.
