New Balance may be the preferred lawn-mowing shoe of dads everywhere, but the Boston-based brand is just as popular among sneaker heads and heritage-obsessed shoppers.

So naturally, people were excited when the company named Aimé Leon Dore founder Teddy Santis the creative director of its Made in USA line.

One year later, the New York designer's first collection has finally dropped. And while you can still mow the lawn in these shoes, shorts and shirts, we'd suggest more leisurely pursuits.

The collection falls into three silos: Elevated Legacy (updated takes on classics), Uniform Staple (everyday wear) and Quickstrike, which features innovative styles.

It all begins with three new takes on the classic 990 sneaker. The  990v1, 990v2 and 990v3 feature the grey suede you know and love, plus colorway updates via earthy tones of green and beige.

Attire includes cotton T-shirts, French terry crewnecks, hoodies and shorts, and there's more to come. The collection is simple, functional, and worthy of everyday wear, whether you're working from home or walking through town.
