Summer is less than seven weeks away.
And yet it's been summer for weeks now.
But fear not... help is on the way.
In the form of Amazonica and its many curious, frozen delights. It's a new Cholado-slinger at Upper Buena Vista, it's open now, and here's its slideshow.
As the mercury continues to reach its peak, consider rounding up a group (or better yet, a beach date) and head on in. Before you: options. So many options. Particularly of the aforementioned Cholado variety. "It's a Colombian street food brimming with shaved ice and fresh fruit," you'll say. "This is what I've been missing all along," they'll say.
And then you'll both share a Passion of the Mango with mango and passion fruit ice, mango squares, pineapple tamarind and tajin. Or perhaps a CocoLima with coconut lemonade ice, chocolate, granola, shredded coconut, green apple and pineapple.
Note just how damned Instagrammable these colorful concoctions are. Then, find a communal seat outside under the Banyan trees or stay inside the particularly Colombian-feeling shop (it's pretty, pink, yellow, orange and green in there) to capitalize on that.
As your core temps start to drop, you'll realize that every decision you've made in your life thus far has been leading you to this moment.
Which is a pretty dramatic realization, but let's just ride this feeling out together.
