Chef Daniel Boulud has a new restaurant in Downtown Miami.
We... could probably just stop right there.
But since you may require further explanation, we'll go on. It's called Boulud Sud, it's where DB Bistro used to be and it's all about seafood, veggies and eating those things with your date. It's also open right now looking just like this.
You'll enter the space, noticing the seaside feel of it all. The teals, the tans, the Moroccan-inspired tile floors. Let that Mediterranean vibe sink in as you order a round of Jalisco Mules with tequila, hibiscus, lime and ginger beer.
And when the urge to dine al fresco strikes, which it most certainly will, head out to the terrace and get to know the menu. Specifically, the chicken tagine with couscous, cauliflower and turnips and/or the lamb flatbread with eggplant and labneh.
As for dessert... that can go one of two ways: apple chibouste with mascarpone mousse and mastic gum ice cream. Or after-dinner drinks in the adjoining lounge just to the right of the venue.
Fine, maybe one way.
