Dwyane Wade Has a Very Dwyane Wade Clothing Collection for You

It's Compression-Wear with Patterns Triggered by a Camera Flash

Leave it to Dwyane Wade, one of the most photogenic players in the NBA, to design a few articles of clothing with reflective patterns that can only be triggered by the flash of a camera…

They’re all part of the limited-edition Mission x Wade collection, which includes a handful of sleek (and occasionally flashy) compression shorts, tops, tights and sleeves, of the kind Wade has been sporting on the court for as long as we can remember. It goes on sale today on Mission’s website.

A quick note this “Mission” brand. Co-founded by Wade himself, they’ve been designing tech-forward, instantly cooling activewear since 2009, and boast industry-leading drying rates and odor control. Plus, their stuff is comfortable. Like worn-consistently-by-a-future-hall-of-fame-point-guard comfortable.

For his collection, Wade wanted to marry his bold personal style to the historically un-stylish world of compression-wear. Meaning: you’ve got some cool-looking geometric patterns showing where it counts. And some of those patterns, when hit by a camera flash, light up in vibrant shades of green and pink.

When exactly this will be of use to the casual pick-up basketball small forward or gym rat is...unclear. Unlike Wade, you probably don’t have photographers snapping shots of you dunking incidentally banking three-pointers at your local court. But you do have post-game or workout brunch. And the Instagrams that inevitably come with post-game/workout brunch.

So, yeah. All good.
