When we say, “Dave Grutman of LIV and Story fame just opened something new,” you’re supposed to say,
“Nice, let’s dance.”
But suppose we lived in a world where we said, “Dave Grutman of LIV and Story fame just opened something new,” and you got to say, “Nice, let’s all eat eggs and try not to think about last night.”
Well, we do live in that world now. Because here’s OTL, a two-story café for breakfast, lunch and wound licking that’s currently open in the Design District.
Take a look around. Craig Robins (the guy who created the Design District) and NYC’s The Smile are also behind this place. That feels important. Moving on...
If it’s morning, bring your laptop and tap into the wi-fi while you leisure your way through egg-and-cheese sandwiches at a marble table. If late nights lead to late mornings, lunch starts at 11.
Staples like grilled cheese with date preserves on fresh Zak the Baker bread might happen. The blood will start coursing through your veins again. Some fresh air and a red cabbage salad at an alfresco table out front will start to sound appealing. Everything’s going to be okay.
And should you be looking for extracurriculars, they’ll soon be hosting things like yoga, meditations and pop-ups up on the second floor.
Not today, last night.
