We’d like to take this opportunity to talk about tomorrow’s lunch.

But also basically every other lunch.

Those happen at Poki Time from now on. It’s a place that the naming-things guy really nailed, because poke is all they do, and they do it quite well. It’s soft-open now in the Inner Sunset, and this is its slideshow.

Fast-forward to tomorrow afternoon. You’re wherever you normally are in the afternoon. Doing things. Signing off on things. Experiencing hunger pangs the likes of which can only be satiated by a big bowl filled with yellowtail and avocado.

So you’ll pop in and peruse your options. Start with a base of kale, salad greens, rice or any combination of the above. Then mix and match your scoops, which include raw tuna, salmon, albacore and yellowtail. Finally, toppings. Put those on there, too. Anything from seaweed salad and avocado to mango and Spam.

You could have a seat at one of the tables right by the window, sure. But taking it to go might make the most sense, especially considering you can just head a block over to Golden Gate Park and find a sunny spot.
