Enter the SoDoSoPa cocktail from Downtown LA’s Osso. It marries brandy and rum with apples and cinnamon in a chest-warming dram that hits all of fall’s spicy notes. And yes, it’s named for a South Park episode. Here’s how to make it.
SoDoSoPa
1 oz light rum
1 oz brandy (Hennessy or any VSOP)
2 oz apple juice
3/4 oz lemon juice
1/2 oz sugar syrup (2:1)
1 tsp fine ground cinnamon
2 dashes Angostura bitters
Add all ingredients to a shaker. Shake, shake, shake. Then pour over ice in a tumbler. Garnish with sliced apples dusted lightly with cinnamon.
