There are evenings when you’re totally focused on things that are not biscuits. Then there are evenings like this one when the Fed’s massively fluffy biscuits will only set you back $1. They’ll also have $2 beers, but... one focal point at a time.

On Friday, the Frost is hosting a Science Art Cinema thing with a talk from a UM psychologist about our brains on fear, followed by a screening of Queen of Blood. Also on hand: DJ Le Spam and gratis wine. Fear is a great motivator. Wine, too.
We hold the following truths to be self-evident:
1) There’s brunch on Sundays at Fresh American Bistro now.
2) It’s served overlooking the ocean.
3) It’s got stone crabs, caviar, Belgian waffles and a Bloody Mary bar.
4) You have a big dumb grin on your face right now.
Halloween is still over a week away. Not that it matters to the Freehand. See, they’re throwing a poolside luau this Sunday with barbecue, fire dancers and gratis Halloween-themed drinks from the Broken Shaker.
