South Miami’s Mellow Mushroom, a jaunty little spot with an outdoor patio, doesn’t have pizza. No, it has Southern pizza. And if you’re wondering about that, well, it’s dusted with cornmeal and stone-baked before being basted with garlic butter and parmesan. There’s also 52 types of beer here, but... who’s counting, really.
Café de Flore. It’s a movie from the director of Dallas Buyers Club and Wild. It’s being screened under the stars tonight as a kickoff to the Miami International Film Festival. It’s accompanied by gratis food and wine. It’s... always better with wine.
Looks like the Electric Pickle is turning six. And they’re celebrating all weekend long. Naturally. But we’d like to direct your attention to Saturday. That’s when the beer and gratis barbecue will be rolled out alongside the bands on their patio. Moral of the story: it pays to direct your attention.
