Yeah, it’s that new power-lunch scene sidled up against the Blue Monster opening this Saturday at the Trump National Doral Miami. (See the slideshow here.)

Time you visited: 1:20pm.
Occasion: A lunch meeting with a few clients who’d just flown into MIA. The cherrywood bar and red leather booths were pretty impressive. So was the view of the Blue Monster from the patio. I once played Tiger there. Okay, that’s a lie. Don’t know why I wrote that.
Meal you ordered: My dining companions enjoyed a perfectly grilled Big Boy burger topped with pulled pork and aged gruyère while I had the 14-ounce spice-rubbed ribeye. Solid.
Drinks, if applicable: Although delightfully spicy, the third Garden Fire with mezcal, Domaine de Canton, sweet red chili peppers, Tabasco, red chili flakes and basil leaves probably wasn’t the smartest decision I’ve ever made. I won’t get into details.
Would you return? Already have. Future me is good like that.
