Tomorrow. That’s when Josh’s will finally grace us with some decent dinner hours. It’s strictly pizza on Thursdays—stuff like bone marrow and pig-trotter pies. But come Friday, you’ll have full run of Josh’s deli mashups, like pastrami tartare and lobster knishes. Man cannot live on lunch hours alone.
Sultry candles and lanterns: check. Chicken tikka masala: check. Sexy Indian dancers: definite check. Yep, the Ritz is all set to throw down a serious Diwali soiree. That’s the Indian festival of lights, incidentally. And you can join them tomorrow. Maybe with a date. Maybe not. Your call, really.
In case you missed the memo, Halloween is next week. But the Standard thought it’d jog your memory with a poolside screening of The Rocky Horror Picture Show and a few beers. Beer’s good like that.

Thirty years ago, this was a dim-sum-barren land. Then came Tropical Chinese, and all was right. And this Tuesday, they’re throwing a party to celebrate that occasion. Big stuff. Dim sum, music and, oh yeah, a new 20-foot bar serving up gratis Byejoe cocktails. Better to give, and all.
