Some windows offer a pleasant view.
Some have really nice curtains.
But one window, from the 4505 guys, is the most important window of them all...
Slide the glass for 4505 Burgers & BBQ, a carnivore’s happy place filled with smoked and
barbecued meats (and beer to drink there or at home), opening Saturday.
You know the spot. It has meat in its bones. Meat on its bones. Whatever, it’s where Da’ Pitt and
Brother-in-Law’s once lived, and that wood-fired pit is right where they left it for the 4505 guys to come
do their thing.
Their thing: greeting you when you walk inside and up to the counter in a small room of corrugated steel,
subway tile and brick. Offering to get you some meat by the pound and a six-pack for a picnic in the park.
Accepting your acceptance of this offer.
It’s not just by-the-pound here, though. Expect smoked barbecue plates, sandwiches, lamb sausage and some
4505 classics—mac and cheese with a hot dog inside, or the Best Damn Cheeseburger on a
sesame-scallion bun.
All of which is just the beginning. Soon they’ll have a shipping container you can eat in, and the
all-important walk-up window (debuting May 9) will be open weekends until 2am.
The Best Damn Cheeseburger sweet spot.
