Sky Rise

A Bi-Level Lodge with Burgers and Taxidermy

Mountain lodges.

Sometimes they’re surrounded by mountains.

Other times they’re surrounded by Buckhead.

And since the latter probably makes a lot more sense right now, meet Big Sky Buckhead, a new bi-level restaurant with pork belly buns, cold beer and the occasional wall-mounted elk head, opening for lunch tomorrow and dinner Monday.

Long story short: the guys behind this place realized that Buckhead was unforgivably deprived of what looks like a double-decker mountain lodge (taxidermy, dark wood paneling, lanterns on the walls...) and Hector Santiago’s Super Pan buns. So they built this place and put him in it. Long story shorter: you’re going to enjoy it here.

Show up tomorrow morning at 11:30 sharp. It’s fast-casual during lunch, so find the granite bar (it’ll be in the middle by that mural of Montana peaks) and order things. Perhaps a burger with bacon-onion jam for you and a mint-lime-wheatgrass agua fresca for your resolution-clinging friend.

And you’ll want to do this on Saturday, too. Because that’s when they’ll open the upstairs bar, throw open the garage-style glass doors on the patio and start serving alcohol for the first time.

You’ll always remember their first time.
