The Hot List: 2013 Holiday Parties

It happens every year. As soon as the holidays hit, you feel like throwing parties. And since that’s an excellent reason to throw parties, here’s a look at this year’s worthiest venues.

Westside Cultural Arts Center
THE DANCE-FLOOR-EQUIPPED GALLERY

Westside Cultural Arts Center

You Require: A giant warehouse with a full-service catering kitchen. Right. You also require food.
You’ll Receive: An industrial space reminiscent of an artist’s loft... times 17. In the gallery: gallery stuff. In the atrium: a huge dance floor, a cement bar and a stage. Can’t just leave the carolers out in the cold.

Private Room at Ink & Elm
THE FIRESIDE REFUGE

Private Room at Ink & Elm

You Require: An old-school-hotel vibe where your velvet slippers would feel right at home.
You’ll Receive: A private room with a 10-ton fireplace. Chilled oysters. Chilled champagne. A spoon to tap against a glass before delivering the most captivating speech ever spoken. They thought of everything.

Holds 35, Ink & Elm, 1577 N Decatur Rd, 678-244-7050

Tasting Room at Three Taverns Brewery
THE BEER FACTORY

Tasting Room at Three Taverns Brewery

You Require: Nothing elaborate, just some beer.
You’ll Receive: The keys to Three Taverns. Well, kind of. You can take a tour. Hit the bar for some frosty Belgian numbers. Gain unfettered access to the dark loft above it. Prime mistletoe territory, that loft.

Drawing Room at King + Duke
THE ROYAL LIBRARY

Drawing Room at King + Duke

You Require: Something small. Handsome. Full of distractions.
You’ll Receive: That. And a wooden table set for 14 behind a leathery door. Between the bourbon, hearth-grilled grilled cheeses and old-timey photos, it’ll feel just like home. Or just like that one holiday party at King + Duke.

Holds 14, King + Duke, 3060 Peachtree Rd NW, 404-477-3500

The Food Party Supper Club House
THE MANOR IN THE WOODS

The Food Party Supper Club House

You Require: The Buckhead version of an Aspen ski lodge.
You’ll Receive: 6.5 acres in the woods. Mainly, you’ll stay inside the house, though. That’s where the stone fireplace, antler chandelier and piano are. Also: the communal table specifically designed for amassing friends and family. And for putting plates on.
