You want: a champagne bar, a big fireplace and a two-tiered seafood tower.
But you can’t always get what you want.
Nope, sorry. No two-tiered tower here.
Guess you’ll just have to settle for the three-tiered one.
Higher your expectations for Ink & Elm, a new multiroom revelry emporium filled with oysters, champagne and enough general sexiness to make your next 675 dates (give or take) go really, really well, taking reservations now for a September 7 opening in Emory Village.
Massive. That’s what this place is. Massive enough to hold a dining room full of oversize booths, a lounge that feels like a ’20s hotel lobby, an entire separate tavern area and a private room with a 10-ton fireplace.
So we repeat: date. A date would feel really comfortable here. Perhaps at the tufted-leather champagne bar with a bourbon-and-bubbly cocktail in hand. Put a regular bourbon in yours and toast to good fortune. And to that giant seafood tower you had to reserve two days earlier.
Then, make for the dimly lit tavern in the back. During the day, you can get sandwiches and coffee in there. During the night, you can get meatballs and grapefruit gimlets in there.
It’s a combination that just might work.
