Something Comfortable from the Wisteria Guys

You know that fuzzy feeling you get when you immediately hit it off with someone and you swear you’ve known them forever even though you just met...

Well, this is what that feeling feels like when you feel it about a restaurant.

Get familiar with Folk Art, an open-early spot from the Wisteria guys that’s serving that most comfortable of foods, slated to soft-open Monday in Inman Park.

You’ll find this little nook exactly two doors down from Wisteria. Look for the old theater seats out front. And if you’re still not sure, just poke your head in. Green booths, vintage Camel and Coke signs and scratched-up wooden floors mean you’re in the right place.

Show up around 8am and grab a bottle-cap stool near the counter. Rub the sleep out of your eyes. See the chicken and waffles with whiskey-peach compote before you. Eat the chicken and waffles with whiskey-peach compote before you.

Then, kill some time until lunch and return. Because that’s when fried frog legs appear on the menu. Also, that’s when it’s appropriate to sample their bourbon-and-maple-syrup cocktail. No, it doesn’t come in a glass shaped like a matronly old lady.

Though it should.
