How to Cure a Hangover in Brazil

Brazil. Land of sun, sea, string bikinis and... stew. Yup, stew. They love the stuff down there. In fact, they make a version called feijoada (pork, beans, beef, miscellaneous stew stuff) that apparently cures hangovers. You can get it Saturdays at Tutto’s Mare. So drop by and, um, see if it works.

Saturdays, noon-4pm, $22.95, Tutto’s Mare, 2525 SW 3rd Ave, 305-858-2525

It’s Amazing Out. Let’s Drink Beer.

So the Grovetoberfest guys thought they’d herald in the spring season with, oh, say, 150 beers at Peacock Park. Classy guys. Anyway, they’re rounding up a bunch of brewers (Abita, Kona, Cigar City), food vendors and games like cornhole and giant Jenga. In case you’re feeling coordinated.

Mar 9, 2:30-7pm, $39, Peacock Park, 2820 McFarlane Rd, 305-461-2700, tickets here

Pool-Party Season Is Back. Rejoice.

There’s something special about your first pool party of the season. Maybe it’s the intoxicating smell of mojitos. Or suntan lotion. Or all of that day-glo latex. Whatever it is, it’s returned to the Shore Club, along with DJ Irie, bubbly and brunch at Terrazza. Welcome back, old friend.

Sundays, 1pm-sundown, Shore Club, 1901 Collins Ave, Miami Beach, 305-695-3100

EMPIRE STRIKES BACK

Movie Night: Now with More Whiskey

On Mondays, Blackbird Ordinary has a new addition to their menu... we mean, wall. Big-screen double features. Up first: a twin billing of Clerks and Empire Records. There’ll also be gratis popcorn and specials on daiquiris and Old Fashioneds. Those are three things that probably taste good mixed together.
