Tonight, Meridian Room turns four. But enough about them. For you, this means cold beer, rum punch and live music. So stop in and hydrate accordingly, then find a table and point yourself in the direction of the band. They’ll be the guys with the instruments.
Basements. Sometimes they’re creepy. Sometimes they’re awesome. Depends on your perspective, really. But this one is actually a new art gallery that’s grand-opening in Oak Cliff. It’s got two dozen artists displaying their wares, plus gratis cocktails, DJs and body paint, so... it’s leaning toward awesome.
Here’s a hint at what’s in store this Sunday: flying corks, pyrotechnics and dancing on your chair. Why, yes, this does spell the return of those infamous DJ- and champagne-fueled brunch parties at ZaZa. So make a reservation. And wear something champagne-proof. Maybe fire-retardant.
