They say if you love something, you should let it go.
And if it comes back to you with Cap’n Crunch pancakes, Fruity Pebbles mousse and Tang mimosas... it was meant to be.
Actually, no one says that.
But they should.
Welcome back Eating House, the new permanent home for Giorgio Rapicavoli’s liquid-nitrogen/breakfast-cereal-fused foodstuffs, soft-open this Friday.
If the menu and place look familiar, well, yeah, they should. You’ve been there, eaten that. No reason to mess with fried-chicken-thigh perfection. Just add some smoky ghost-wood paneling, a new granite bar and a massive wine rack. Which is convenient, because you like things that come from wine racks.
So the day after Thanksgiving, that’s when you stumble in. Take up a table by the window. Realize you’re hungry for... okay, you’re still full from leftovers, but there’s mussels with salsa verde on the menu, and damn it, somebody’s got to try that.
Oh, and you’ll be happy to know that those infamous Eating House Sunday brunches are still a thing. Only now they’ve added some new dishes like Chicken ’n’ Foie-ffles (that’s fried chicken, maple bacon, spicy ranch and housemade foie gras waffles). Pairs up great with a Tang mimosa.
Or the purple stuff.
