Miami Shores Gets an Indie Theater

Miami Shores has a new indie theater in the former home of... an old indie theater. Yup, O Cinema’s opened up a second location. And they’re kicking things off with a special restored screening of Stanley Kubrick’s Fear and Desire. Apparently, you can teach an old flick new tricks.

Friday
Your Private Skyfall Screening
SECURED BOND

Your Private Skyfall Screening

So tomorrow, the Dezer Collection is hosting a soiree for the release of Skyfall. There’ll be cocktails passed around by Russian models, old Bond cars on display and afterwards, a screening of the new movie in an undisclosed location. So 007 of them.

Saturday
Endless Flapjacks and Art. Why Not.
BATTER UP

Endless Flapjacks and Art. Why Not.

Pancakes. Those things go great with anything. Maple syrup. Powdered sugar. More pancakes. Also, apparently, street art. Yes, we’re telling you there’s an LA-based gallery show on Saturday that’s serving both booze and all-you-can-eat pancakes to any visiting patrons. Here’s an idea: be one of those.

Sunday
A Pizza-Based Alfresco Brunch
HEY, JOE

A Pizza-Based Alfresco Brunch

Sunday afternoons. Your needs: coffee, fresh air and above all else, a personal truffle pizza to absorb the remnants of Saturday night. Here to help: Joey’s. Not only have they added a new brunch menu (think frittatas/gnocchi), but they’ve also renovated their patio. Which is good, because your patio standards are impossibly high.
