Turns out, summer’s like that ex who keeps waking up in your bed—you thought it was over, but apparently not. So now’s a good time to call this beachside bar. They’ll find a barrel. They’ll put your name on that barrel. And they’ll talk to you about what you’d like to put inside of it. A Manhattan: sure. Negroni: definitely. A Vieux Carré: of course. Your secret specialty involving whiskey, banana peels, virgin tears and an open flame: ... maybe not.

And then: they’ll make your drink. A whole barrelful. And they’ll keep that barrel right at the bar for all to see. You’ll pay up front. And next time you’re in the area, and the time after that, just flash the bartender your ID so he knows it’s you, and you’ll be poured a drink or two. Take it over to a little table by the windows overlooking the water.
