Champagne and Go-Go Boots in SoBe

None 3 Photos Pearl Restaurant & Champagne Lounge
Once upon a time, there was a splashy champagne bar called Pearl in South Beach.

You remember.

The white leather. The bubbles. The servers in go-go boots.

Then it closed. Only to be reopened when the time was right.

Thankfully, that’s today.

Back after a six-year hiatus: Pearl Restaurant & Champagne Lounge, an amber-hued repository of bubbles and caviar, opening tonight with a late-night party in SoFi.

If you frequented the old Pearl, you’ll be pleased to know the place is pretty much the same. To get there you’ll make your way to the second-floor dining room of Nikki Beach’s oceanfront compound. There you’ll find a sexed-up supper club with a late-’60s futuristic vibe—as if Shatner’s Captain Kirk decided to open a cocktail lounge on the USS Enterprise. (The man was a visionary.)

It’s the kind of place where your date will feel comfortable gliding around in sky-high heels and something flashy. Start at the circular bar where ladies in orange dresses and those white boots will pour you flutes of champagne (they offer six by the glass). Then, when hunger hits, you’ll retreat to one of the curved white banquettes draped in gauzy curtains for more champagne—the bottle list has 60 options—and foie gras tamales, some caviar and the occasional rib eye.

In no particular order.
