You’re feeling kind of great today.
You rode a lightning bolt to work. You played 18 holes with Keith Richards. A bald eagle saluted you.
And just think, it’s not even happy hour yet...
But soon enough it will be time for that all-important daycap, and you will find it at La Fourchette, a cozy little Southern European restaurant with a neighborhood vibe and a strong penchant for happy houring, soft-opening tonight in Buckhead.
In short, feel free to think of this as your next stop in the day’s long line of personal victories. And as most victories tend to do, this one starts in the bar. You’ll saunter into the intimate and dimly lit room, give a quick head nod to some familiar faces and get things started with a bottle of Chateau Cheval Noir and some Short Rib Rillette.
From there, you can either continue to ride out the day’s good fortunes in the bar, or casually invite one of your new friends into the dining room for something a bit more... white tablecloth-y. In which case we’d recommend a bottle of Sancerre and the Grilled Loup de Mer in the semi-private Carthage Room (semi-discretion is the better part of valor).
Now back to that happy hour situation. We thought you might like to know that every night from 5:30 to 6:30pm, the chef will be doling out all manner of Mediterranean tapas in the bar. Oh, and you won’t be paying for them either.
Think of it as Southern European hospitality.
