With much of the country experiencing cold temperatures and snowfall, it's a fine time to gather around a fire.
Especially if that fire is contained in a handsome concrete table that holds your drinks and doubles as a cooking surface.
The Fire Pit Table from Outer does exactly that. The company is known for its high-quality outdoor furniture, but neither a sofa nor an accent chair has ever grilled you a burger. So this feels necessary.
The Fire Pit Table is made from eco-friendly glass fiber reinforced concrete, and it's basically three contraptions in one. With the cover on, it functions like a regular coffee table—one with plenty of surface area to kick up your feet and do normal table things. Remove the cover to unveil the propane-fueled fire element, and load in the ceramic stone spheres, which not only look cool but reduce wind and disperse heat outward, so everyone can stay warm without leaning in over the fire.
You can roast s'mores over the open flames, but for more elaborate cooking, place the reversible cast iron griddle and included stand above the fiery stones. With those in place, you can comfortably grill meat, fish, vegetables and whatever else your outdoor activities require. (Keeping a pot of fondue warm isn't out of the question.) And with the grill going, there's still plenty of room on the perimeter of the table to set glasses and dishes.
The fire pit runs on a propane tank that connects via hose and sits adjacent to the table, rather than under it. But to keep those visuals attractive, Outer makes a matching cover that slips over the tank and functions as a side table.
So, no one has to know that the little table supporting their beer is a fuel source.
