Everyone now.
Concentrate.
And think pool thoughts.
Collectively, we might be able to break through.
At least we've conjured up Veranda, a breezy, picturesque restaurant and bar that you'll find by the pool in back of Hotel Figueroa, now open come gloom or shine. Check it out.
In time, we'll ideally all be frolicking around here in the sunshine, passion fruit La Croix-infused Aperol Spritz in hand, our friends clad in light linens and various states of formal undress. But even now, in whatever we're calling this spring weather, you'll still be able to hang by a two-faced fireplace in a lounge resembling a Moroccan-themed country club, with rattan chairs below dangly Turkish lamps. Spritz still in hand.
Next, you'll move for lunch or dinner into the dining room, which has conveniently omitted an entire wall to better integrate you into the pool scene while still keeping you within striking distance of the intricate wrought-iron bar.
There, you'll all toast the astute decision you've made to live in a city with pool bars in its Downtown core before embarking on a communal journey through potted foie gras, whole fish, wood-fired pizzas and garlic chicken.
Nobody gets left behind.
