Rare is the day you find the lawn mower of both your father’s Sunday afternoon daydreams and Dominic Toretto’s wet ones. But that’s only because you’ve yet to stumble across Honda’s new Mean Mower Mk. 2, a lawn mower so fast and efficient that it promises to have you trimming turf at speeds up to 134 mph—a record speed that would be good enough to wear the world’s new speedmower crown.
The Mk. 2 harnesses the rev of a CBR1000RR Fireblade motorcycle and churns out 192-horsepower. Oh, and at a mere 440 lbs, I'm guessing this thing can go from zero to 60 in under three seconds—plenty of giddy-up for those who choose to live their life a quarter-blade of grass at a time. (And if you think these worn out Vin Diesel references are all for nothing, guess again: the attempt to capture the world mower record will be driven by a literal Fast and Furious stunt driver.)
Can Honda and their stuntman blow past the current record of 133 mph held by Norwegian Speed Factory? We'll have to wait and see. Worst case, you can continue dreaming of a mighty impressive grass tractor to impress the neighbors one day.
