Roman, a new men's health start-up, allows men to get diagnosed for erectile dysfunction via a quick online consultation, after which they'll receive a prescription and have their medication delivered to them, with the upmost discretion. It's pretty cool, and aims to help a lot of guys—particularly younger guys—handle a highly stigmatized condition.
Even cooler: their new ad. Directed by the Saturday Night Live vet responsible for such digital shorts as this Hillary campaign ad, it keenly deconstructs the overwrought visual metaphors on display in standard Viagra or Cialis commercials—like the handsome older guy throwing a football through a tire swing or the equally handsome older guy fixing his car. It makes for a great parody—not to mention, an effective piece of branding for a company who's target demographic for ED might skew younger than Viagra or Cialis's.
