What if we told you there's a new rooftop bar with a cocktail program by the guys behind Trick Dog?
It's okay, you can still read this on your phone while you're walking over there.
Welcome to Charmaine's, a place to drink punch with a group and eat fancy hot dogs high above the city below. It opens today at the Proper Hotel, and here come the pictures of what you'll be consuming there.
You'll step into an elevator in the lobby and, after a short ride, shoot directly out into the interior portion of the bar and lounge, with funky furniture and glass doors that fold open when it's nice out.
Step up to that bar, look at the inventive drink list and put your hand on your chin in a thoughtful way. Go for an individual tipple like the Let Me Touch Your Mind with Banks 5 rum, coconut cream, pineapple and lime that's blended and topped with a Negroni. Or perhaps one of two punches that are meant to be shared with four people. Suggested, not required.
Once you've got a liquid jacket on, head to the outdoor veranda near the lounge. Sit next to a heater or fire pit and grab a bite from the chef who heads up Villon downstairs. Say, a hot dog with Bavarian mustard and fermented lettuce on a milk and honey bun.
Oh, you're already there. Eating that. Great.
