For a mere two weeks, the Parisians of 13 Bonaparte are setting up shop down on the LES. Our favorite Brooklyn venue is doing a night of Prince music, dancing and prizes—of both the cash and alcohol variety—for the best Prince looks. Hence the “our favorite” part.
For the beer lovers among us, here’s this event with five beer-themed rooms (one is “Tropics”-themed, with sour ales and citrusy pilsners, another’s “Darkness”-themed with heavy stouts and porters...you get the idea). Once inside, you’ll get unlimited tastings, observe some spin art and have some food from Roberta’s and Frankel’s.
One of your options is Rough Trade NYC, where they’ll be hosting bands and DJs all day, with St. Vincent kicking things off late-morning. Such a St. Vincent time to play.
To be specific, smoked maple duck confit, mango-pineapple slaw and jalapeño aioli stuffed between buttermilk waffles. They’ve also got breakfast mac and cheese with chicharrones, lobster benedict on cheddar biscuits and vodka-raspberry-champagne drinks, if you’re into that kind of thing. Oh, and we’re talking about the launch of brunch at this Greenwich Village spot. Got a little ahead of ourselves there.
